 A few miles north of the 49th parallel, amongst western Canada’s coastal wealth of beauty and nature, Thistledown Farm offers a rural retreat with all the amenities – a ‘getaway’ that’s close to the  mountains and shores, rivers and trails, towns and communities of eastern and mid Vancouver Island.

As the lucky owners of this slice of heaven we enjoy quiet walks along creek and ponds, and strolls with our dogs through woods and fields …when all the chores are done on our working farm.

B&B stays, weddings and celebrations are ways we can share our beautiful organic farm, and our comfortable post and beam home and guesthouse.

We’re south of Nanaimo, a few miles from the Island Highway, near the Cassidy airport. A half-dozen miles east is the Tsawassen – Duke Point Ferry, and a dozen miles or so north is the Departure Bay ferry.  And a hundred klicks south and you’ll find yourself in Victoria, a hundred north and  you’re in the Comox Valley.
